description

HCG fibers have silica / silica construction with a pure silica high OH core and a doped silica cladding.
They are protected by a polymer buffer HCS type to increase their mechanical resistance and optimize transmission of cladding modes. External coating : ETFE. For high T° application see TCG fibers with polyimid coating.
Numerical aperture : 0.22. Temperature range -65°C to +125°C.
Core diameters range from 200 to 1000μm.

   
 
 

applications

These fibers are optimized for transmission in the UV range through visible wavelength. They are particularly suited for high power laser delivery systems, UV spectroscopy, UV fluorescence, and industrial sensors. Biocompatible, non toxic and certified USP Class VI they are also ideal for medical applications.
